"My
husband and I signed a contract with Gwen Kennedy on December 3rd, 2004.
By December 17th 2004, we had an offer and signed a Purchase/Sale
Agreement. We had to sell and move out of our home due to a job transfer
rather quickly. Living in a new development and selling during the
fall/winter would make it very difficult. I received the typical pamphlets
in the mail and phone calls from forceful realtors asking to meet with me
and see my house. From the first phone call, Gwen was honest and confident
and never pushed for a meeting. She told me to call her at my convenience.
Unfortunately,
due to our inexperience with home selling, we chose a realtor who was
offering a lower commission rate. I would also like to point out
that this realtor belonged to a firm that was not as well known as RE/MAX.
That was a big mistake!! We signed a three month contract with her
and in those three months, not one offer was made. I
truly believe if we had signed with Gwen in the beginning, our house would
have been sold months ago.
Immediately
after that contract expired, I phoned Gwen. During the two months we
worked together, Gwen called me at least once a week to update me on
prospective buyers. We received 3 offers in less than a month, compared to
zero offers with the previous realtor!
